Description

Strawberry Delight is a dreamy layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake filling, luscious strawberry topping, and a fluffy whipped layer. Light, refreshing, and perfect for potlucks, picnics, or just because!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the crust:
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • For the cream cheese layer:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • For the strawberry layer:
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • For the topping:
  • Additional whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the crust: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let cool completely.
  2. Make the cream cheese layer: In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until combined. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over cooled crust. Chill in the fridge while preparing the next layer.
  3. Prepare the strawberry layer: Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, then stir in 1 cup cold water. Let cool for 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened, then fold in sliced strawberries.
  4. Carefully pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until fully set, at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Top and serve: Spread additional whipped topping over the top before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired. Slice and enjoy chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure each layer is set before adding the next to prevent bleeding or mixing.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute homemade whipped cream for Cool Whip if preferred.
