  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Old Time Oven Peach Cobbler is a simple, soul-warming dessert made with juicy peaches, cozy spices, and a buttery golden crust. With just 3 easy steps, it’s the perfect nostalgic treat—served hot or cold, and even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large can of sliced peaches, drained
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Bisquick mix, milk, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Stir until well blended. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter—do not stir.
  3. Place the drained sliced peaches evenly over the batter. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling. Serve warm or cold, with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Do not mix the layers once assembled—this helps form a perfect crust as it bakes.
  • Substitute fresh or frozen peaches if desired, adjusting sugar based on sweetness.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated or eaten cold.
