- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Add chicken slices to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight for best flavor.
- Remove chicken from marinade and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Preheat air fryer to 180°F (82°C) if your model allows (or use the lowest possible temperature).
- Place chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece.
- Air fry for 2 to 3 hours, flipping halfway through, until chicken is dry, chewy, and slightly leathery but not brittle.
- Let jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- For even drying, slice chicken as uniformly thin as possible (1/8 to 1/4 inch).
- If your air fryer doesn’t go as low as 180°F, prop the basket open slightly with a spoon for better air circulation.
